A Club for Any Interest: Groups at The Colony and Pelican Landing

What do beautiful weather, pristine beaches, and abundant activities have in common? These are all reasons that people choose to make the move to Southwest Florida. Though Bonita Springs has no shortage of enjoyable activities from its fine dining and plentiful shopping options, residents of The Colony do not even have to leave their own community to have fun and stay active.

Art Club

Pelican Landing Art Club members range from beginners to professionals who get together to network, talk about art, offer constructive criticism, and find inspiration. Members also enjoy guest speakers who present on a variety of art topics.

Birding Club

The Pelican Landing Birdwatching Club takes field trips to a number of different local habitats to get a look at some of Southwest Florida’s most beautiful birds.

Book Club

If you love reading and talking about literature then you will enjoy the Book Club, which meets every second Wednesday to discuss great titles from a variety of genres.

Residents at The Colony never have to look too far for a bridge group. Throughout the month, residents get together to have fun playing bridge. The Bridge Club’s schedule and proper contact information has been listed below.

Cycling Club

Do you like to cycle? Cycling is a great way to stay fit, and the cycling club at Pelican Landing has three groups of varying fitness abilities that meet 3 times a week to ride about 30 to 40 miles.

Fishing Club

Fishing club is a great opportunity for residents to have fun, learn and develop relationships in the beautiful Southwest Florida environment.

The Pelican Landing Fishing Club meets at the Community Center and future dates for scheduling can be found on their website here.

Garden Club

The Pelican Landing Garden Club meets monthly to enjoy lectures and demonstrations by local horticultural experts and take field trips to fun areas. Guests are welcome to attend one meeting before joining.

Photo Club

Are you a photographer? Residents of The Colony can join like-minded friends to discuss photography techniques and share their favorite photos that they’ve taken. For more information about the Pelican Landing Photo Club, click here.


The Pelican Landing Singles are a group of active single residents that meets monthly for activities both in and outside of Pelican Landing, such as sunset cocktails, group dining at The Colony, or day trips.

Travel Club

If you love to travel, the Pelican Landing Travel Club plans organized trips where members can often benefit from significant group discounts. Past outings have included trips to Bermuda, Charleston, Bahamas, and Port Canaveral.
